Winter Nike Volleyball Camp Kings Courts Pickering

Nike Volleyball Camp is excited to offer camps at the Kings Courts in Pickering, ON this Winter 2024. Campers will train with talented and experienced coaches with a focus on both fun and skill development. Players of all skill levels are invited to register for the camps!

Nike Volleyball Camp prepares athletes with basic technical skill development and game play. Coaches and staff will provide instruction to meet the needs of the individual to improve their skills and enjoyment of the game.  Their experience working with players from the grassroots level to those becoming recognized in the OUA and OCAA, guarantees a fun yet challenging opportunity for participants to be reminded of the fundamentals, compete strategically, and strengthen mental toughness.

      •     Technical volleyball training

      •     1:10 camper to instructor on field ratio

      •     Individual assessment of skills and goal-oriented skill growth

      •     Position-specific training, including game play situations

Coaches

Mandi Doris
Coach

We are happy to announce Mandi Doris to the coaching staff. Doris joins from a team that has won an Ontario College Athletic Associates (OCAA) record of eleven consecutive OCAA women's volleyball crowns.

As a multiple East Division First Team All Star, she ruled the middle as a standout on the Durham Lords squad for five seasons, and at the end of her career she sat atop the OCAA All-Time Blocks category with 217, and single season blocks.

She moved almost directly into the coaching ranks, as an assistant with the Lords for four seasons, and was also a valued member of the Seneca Sting staff for one season . Her experience is vast, Mandi also is the head coach of the highly acclaimed Titans Rogue Volleyball program.

"Mandi not only brings tremendous overall coaching experience with her, she has great strength in mentoring and teaching the skills needed to help Middles excel", said Humber Head Coach Chris Wilkins. "As someone who coached against her when she was a player, I had the utmost respect for her as an athlete and as a leader".

"I'm honoured for the opportunity", said Doris. "I will definitely bring as much as I can to the team, and look forward to being part of this wonderful program". Mandi has been with the Nike program for 2 years now.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

REGISTRATION PACKET

A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, camp specifics, and a list of things to bring, will be emailed to all campers prior to their camp date. If you have any questions/inquiries please email info@sportscampscanada.com.
