2025 Nike Tennis Camp at Alberta Tennis Centre

Join Nike Tennis Camp at the Alberta Tennis Centre this Spring of 2024. This camp combines technical and tactical instruction in a group setting, where kids of beginner and intermediate ability levels will enjoy training and competition, in a state-of-the-art facility. This camp also includes pre-planned breaks for snacks, and a break for playing other sports with their peers while being supervised by the coaches, this allows for kids to make friends more easily and create a bonding experience in this fast-paced and activity-filled camp.

Join our ATC tennis professionals, who are excited to help every camper improve and have a great time! Whether your child is interested in learning the game, improving their skills, and playing lots of tennis in a group setting, we have the experience and professional staff dedicated to helping them have the best experience in this camp.

Suzana Cavalcante
Camp Director

Originally from Brazil, Suzana is an accomplished tennis player who as a junior, was ranked among the Top 3 players in Brazil in every age category. She trained in Florida from the age of 12 with Patricio Apey (coach of Gabriela Sabatini) and represented Brazil internationally. Suzana competed in her first WTA event at age 13 and later became a training partner of WTA Tour players Gabriela Sabatini, Mary Pierce, Mercedes Paz, Chandra Rubin and Samantha Smith. She holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and Athletic Training. Suzana is Tennis Canada High Performance Coach2 certified.

Toni Klaric
Coach

Toni is a dual citizen of Canada and the EU. He discovered his passion for tennis at early age in his home country of Croatia, where he was among the top juniors. With a diverse sports background, he’s not only an accomplished tennis player but also an experienced international ski coach with over a decade of experience. As a Registered Kinesiologist in Alberta, Toni specializes in strength and conditioning, particularly working closely with tennis players to enhance their performance by offering fitness training and private tennis lessons.

Lucas Noguera from the picturesque city of Nice, France, infuses his passion for tennis with a unique perspective. With 20 years of playing experience and a decade dedicated to teaching, Lucas stands as a dynamic Tennis Professional at the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre.

Beyond the confines of the tennis court, Lucas Noguera is a man of diverse interests. He is not just a Tennis Professional; he is an individual passionate about photography, finding solace in capturing moments frozen in time. Lucas’s love for tennis is complemented by his enthusiasm for travel and a deep curiosity for exploring new cultures. For Lucas, the tennis journey is not just about the sport; it’s a gateway to a world rich in experiences, connections, and the beauty of discovery.

Irada Guseinova
Coach

Born and raised in Turkmenistan, a small country in Central Asia, Irada discovered her passion for tennis at the age of 9 when she first picked up a racket. Throughout her upbringing, tennis remained a central part of her life, and she competed passionately within her own country. Upon reaching 18, she moved to Russia to pursue higher education before eventually settling in Canada in 2012 to further her studies. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the country, prompting her decision to immigrate permanently.

It wasn’t until 2022 when Irada stumbled upon the instructors course offered by Tennis Canada that she realized she could transform her love for the sport into a fulfilling profession. Since then, her coaching journey has thrived, and she finds immense satisfaction in witnessing the progress of her students. Balancing the roles of both coach and tennis parent has granted her a unique perspective and has contributed to her development as a nurturing instructor.

Oleh Kuzemchak
Coach

Oleh Kuzemchak, a dedicated Tennis Professional from Ukraine, and brings a wealth of experience and passion to the court. His journey with tennis began at the age of 8, igniting a lifelong love for the sport. With coaching experience spanning 7 years, Oleh transitioned into coaching in 2019, focusing on nurturing performance athletes for regional and national competitions. In February 2023, he joined the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre, where he continues to inspire and guide players of all levels.

Oleh’s multifaceted background and dedication to tennis coaching make him an asset to the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre Team. With a commitment to fostering the growth and development of players across all levels, he continues to make a significant impact in the tennis community.

We offer Spring and Summer Camps for players ages 4-14 in a fast-paced and activity-filled camp. Kids will experience learning tennis technique and tennis specific tactics for winning more points, while in a group setting. Please register your child for a program in their appropriate age bracket. Registration remains open for any session until the Friday before camp starts at 12 pm.

Meals: Lunch is not provided.

Please bring a packed lunch, snacks, sun block, hat, water bottle.

The club provides racquets if kids don’t own one. Dress in athletic attire.

AM MINI TENNIS CAMP: AGES 4-7 (RED BALL TENNIS CAMP)

Geared for children between the ages of 4-7 years of age, this mini tennis camp utilizes Tennis Canada’s Progressive Curriculum, using Mini-Tennis equipment and Red Tennis Balls to ensure children’s optimal success. The camp is based on Long Term Athlete Development principles and focuses on skill development, acquiring new tennis skills through a games based approach. Participants will be introduced to fundamental movement skills required for tennis and there will be a strong emphasis on cooperative play as well as technical and tactical development.

AM PROGRESSIVE TENNIS CAMP: AGES 7-9 (ORANGE BALL TENNIS CAMP)

Geared for children between the ages of 7-9 years of age, this mini tennis camp utilizes Tennis Canada’s Progressive Curriculum using Mini-Tennis equipment and Orange Tennis Balls to ensure children’s optimal success. The camp is based on Long Term Athlete Development principles and focuses on skill development, acquiring new tennis skills through a games based approach. Participants will be introduced to fundamental movement skills required for tennis and there will be a strong emphasis on cooperative play as well as technical and tactical development.

FULL DAY SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CAMP: AGES 8-14 (GREEN/YELLOW BALL TENNIS CAMP)

This Tennis Camp is offered as a half-day and Full Day camp with a morning session from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, an afternoon session from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm or Full Day from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, for participants between the ages of 8 - 14. The camp has been designed for participants who would love to improve their tennis skills. This camp will involve a combination of tennis drills, match play sessions, some strength & injury prevention training, and conditioning for footwork, speed and agility training whilst also developing the team working, leadership and social skills of participants through alternative activities.
