Join to our NEW Nike Soccer Camp at Moncton SportsDome this summer from August 6-9, 2024! Our soccer camp caters to young athletes aged 5 - 12 at the recreational and advanced skill level and provides the perfect blend of instruction and fun!

This camp is designed to help athletes gain confidence by enhancing fundamental skills and learning to apply them in a games-based environment. This fun, fast-paced, dynamic camp is jam-packed with valuable information, drills, and philosophies that athletes can take with them into their training and games. Our top team of coaches have extensive experience working with athletes of all ages, abilities and learning styles. Athletes will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure they are in their challenge zone.

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:

  • Every camper receives a Nike Sports Camps T-shirt and other Nike prizes

Derek O'Keeffe
Head Coach

Coach Derek O’Keeffe: Soccer Coaching Bio

Originally from Cork City, Ireland, Derek O’Keeffe brought his rich coaching expertise to New Brunswick in the summer of 2022. Derek's coaching career commenced in the competitive League of Ireland before he joined the New York Red Bulls' technical staff in Major League Soccer (MLS).

His professional journey is distinguished by a UEFA A Licence and a degree in Sports Coaching and Development, complemented by multiple diplomas in personal training and Strength and Conditioning.

Derek currently serves as the head Men’s and Women’s coach at Mount Allison University and the Technical Director of Codiac Soccer Club in Moncton, New Brunswick. His extensive experience includes roles such as Executive Director at Fitness New Brunswick and Assistant Fitness Director at The Boulevard Club. Derek has also held significant positions in League One Ontario, including Technical Director and Assistant Coach for Simcoe County Rovers and Men’s Head Coach for Aurora FC. Additionally, he was the OPDL Head Coach for Vaughan Soccer Club.

Amanda Piltzmaker
Coach

Coach Amanda Piltzmaker, hailing from Ontario, brings a lifetime of soccer experience to her coaching journey. Having kicked off her soccer career at the tender age of 4, she pursued her passion all the way to Mount Allison University in the Maritimes, where she showcased her skills as a formidable player. Transitioning from player to educator, Amanda's love for the game and her desire to empower others led her to coaching. With a focus on fostering a competitive, positive, and enjoyable atmosphere for athletes, Amanda takes pride in celebrating their triumphs.

Her coaching philosophy centers around the belief that success stems from a diligent work ethic and unwavering effort. Embracing adversity as an inherent part of the game, she provides a supportive environment for athletes to conquer challenges, acknowledging victories and defeats alike. Amanda endeavours to cultivate a cohesive team unit, promoting focus and mutual support among players.

With a diverse coaching background spanning various sports and age groups, Amanda's experiences have honed her adaptability and resilience. Complementing her role as a schoolteacher, she leverages a comprehensive skill set to shape athletes into well-rounded individuals both on and off the field. John Russell
Coach

John is excited to share his soccer knowledge with the next generation of soccer players. He comes from a rich soccer background where his family has been involved in playing and coaching, as well as starting and organizing teams and leagues.

John started playing Competitive Soccer at the age of 8, and continued this journey through all four seasons of the year until U-21. John has captained many of his teams and has played all positions, he is an exceptional communicator and loves anything to do with soccer.

John currently works at the Moncton SportsDome as a Soccer Coach and is the Soccer Co-ordinator for U-4 - U-11. He also works in the Afterschool Program with children ages 5-13.Johnis approaching 5 years of Grassroots Soccer Coaching experience. He is excited to help children of all skill levels to increase their skill level, understanding of the game of soccer, and most importantly, have FUN!

SUMMER 2024 CAMP DETAILS

  • August 6 - 9, 2024 (Tuesday - Friday)
  • Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time
  • Program Details: Ages 5-12, Co-ed
  • Skill Level: Recreational to Advanced
  • *Campers will be grouped by age and skill level
  • Price: Half Day $175 + tax, Full Day $255 + tax
  • Extended Care Included: 7:30 am - 9:00 am and 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack and lunch to camp each day

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

REGISTRATION PACKET
